The game is like its forerunners from the Samurai Shodown series made by the same company, but it differs in letting participants select from two blade types; the damage-focused "Power" or "Speed", which advances rapid play. Other game atmospheric conditions include maneuvers like "Repel", which lets participants shield debar foe attacks, and "Sublime Slash", which annuls "Super Slice" attacks and can be composed with "Super Secret Slice".
